hardware Team

Design & Prototype
When the challenge comes out in September each year, the whole team brainstorms before passing off the designs to the hardware team. From here, the team begins refining the designs and prototyping. This includes using CAD programs to plan our sub-assemblies and robot layout.

Construction
The hardware team then uses Gobuila U-Channels to begin constructing the robot's wheelbase. After this, the hardware team splits up into sub-teams to begin working on sub-assemblies.

Fabrication
While anyone on our team is welcome to learn how to operate the equipment and fabricate parts, the majority of this falls to the hardware team.
After sketching out our design, we gather materials and use our machine shop to fabricate and machine that parts that we need.
