Auto. Period

While this is the software team's time to shine, the drive team must dpay attention and make sure that evyething functions correctly and mke plans for how the rest of the match will go.

Outreach

The drive team helps with outreach by helping teach the students how to drive the robots and complete the challenge.

Tele-Op

This is where the drive team really shines. They are in full control of the robot and must work together with their alliance partner o score as many points as possible.

Summer Camp

The drive team also helps out with the summer cam by teaching the students how to drive their VEX robots.

Meet the Drive Team

What is the Drive Team? Learn about all the different roles below!

Driver 1

Driver 1 is responsible for controlling the wheelbase and some sub-assemblies. In other words, Driver 1 control the forward, backward, and side-to-side motion of the robot.

Driver 2

Driver 2 is responsible for controlling the major sub-assemblies, like the slide and gripper.

Coach

The coach is a student (or adult) who instructs the drivers and helps them follow the team's strategy and make important decisions. They also communicate with the alliance partner.

Human Player

The human player is responsible for placing the game pieces in the field for the robot to pick up and use to score.
